Life With The Muse©:  An Artist’s Retreat

Why does the artist paint, sing or write?  What inspires passion?  How does creativity take possession of the soul, causing other fascinations to fade?  And why is the creative life-force so powerful, but so elusive? 

The ancient Greeks thought the mystery of creativity was so glorious that deity must be involved.  In their mythology, the Nine Muses were patron goddesses of the arts and sciences, culture and inspiration.  During this retreat, The Muses will guide us as we probe the puzzles and problems, myths and mazes of living a life in the arts.  We’ll explore both the inner world of art-making and the outer world of art marketing. Join us as we examine:

Vision illustration, creativity cards, muse journals, contemplative writing exercises and class discussions are all designed to bring each individual’s strengths and preferences to the forefront. The retreat concludes with a screening of the documentary film Living With The Muse.
